An oil platform, offshore platform or offshore drilling rig is a large structure with facilities for drilling wells to explore, extract, store and process petroleum and natural gas in rock formations beneath the seabed.

PROTOTYPE HISTORY




Our planet carefully stores its treasures, and to extract them it is not always enough to dig a quarry, build a tower or a mine on land. Minerals increasingly have to be mined in water-covered areas. And the fantastic structures - floating platforms come to the rescue. This is almost an urban area on the water - with apartment blocks, factory buildings, mechanisms, helipads and even its tower - a derrick or headframe that gives the platform a skyline.
For the first time, an offshore oil rig was built in the United States in the 1930s. Configurations and technologies have changed significantly since then. The highest offshore platform is in Norway. Its height is 472 meters, which is the height of the famous “Oriental Pearl” in Shanghai. The deepest harvest is carried out from a platform in the Gulf of Mexico. Oil production occurs from a depth of more than 3 km. These steel monsters are impressive. But very few people manage to see the offshore drilling platform live.

The platform helipad has a retractable canopy. A miniature helicopter is hidden underneath. After raising the canopy, the helipad also rises, and a staircase for passengers is brought to it. Demonstrating all the functions of the Treasure Finder can become a family entertainment that will cause joy and admiration, especially if you say that you assembled everything yourself.
