A section of the coast of Brittany, the west coast of northern France, has always been known to sailors as a rough and dangerous area.

As the country's westernmost point, it is a busy sea route and is also subject to severe weather for much of the year.

22 tons of soap and tallow were spread on the slipway to lubricate the ship's passage into the River Lagan.

PROTOTYPE HISTORY

The La Jumienne lighthouse is located in Bretonne. It is built on a boulder and is completely cut off from the outside world in bad weather. Dramatic footage of storms on La Jumienne was often published in glossy magazines and online, bringing Lighthouse worldwide fame. The lighthouse warns ships of the danger of approaching the coast, as the underwater rocks at this location have led to dozens of shipwrecks.

The lighthouse has been fully automatic and remote controlled since 1991. Donkey symbols of guiding light, amulets from danger, lighthouses have always been a source of inspiration for creative people. The Lighthouse was the last story of one of the most mysterious writers in the history of Edgar Poe, which he never finished.

The film studio "Castle Rock", which created the best film adaptations of another master of mystery and horror, Stephen King, has a lighthouse on its logo. Since the beginning of shipping history, lighthouses have been landmarks for sailors. Initially they were large bonfires, today they are electric lamps with a complex system of lenses and mirrors.

HISTORY OF MODELING

When developing the Sailor's Companion, the Metal Time team was inspired by photos of the La Jumienne lighthouse in a storm. But not only world fame, but also the architecture of the building deserves attention. The 100-meter-high tower with a superstructure typical of European architecture looks very harmonious and beautiful.

And recreating it in metal will be a challenging but exciting task for you. Many parts and components at your fingertips are combined into a wonderful exhibit of the Metal Time model collection.

FEATURES AND BENEFITS

Its movement is provided by an electric motor powered by a battery pack. Thanks to this, the lighthouse model can be used as a night light, an installation object or part of a composition in combination with "Metal Time" ship models.

The assembly process will present you with many challenges, but a few hours of technical creativity will be rewarded with an excellent result. The majestic tower of the lighthouse will take its rightful place in your interior - on the stand of the model collection, on the desk in the closet or in the children's room.

Precise cutting of the kit eliminates the possibility of cuts during the assembly process. The parts fit together exactly and do not cause any problems when connecting. The pleasant feel, durability and aesthetics of matt metal distinguish the steel parts from wooden or plastic parts used by other designers.

Practical flat packaging made from sustainable, recyclable cardboard combines compactness and the aesthetics of a status gift. Each purchaser of the "Metal Time" model will receive a club badge, a thank you card and a unique number assigned to each model. Joining the Metal Time Club opens up additional opportunities for every customer.

The Sailor's Companion is equipped with a rotating LED light source like a real lighthouse.
